The file exchange process is as follows:
1. The Commissioner creates a "Playball"
league file via the "Export League Database"
command and uploads it to the above link
for all of the owners to download.
2. After downloading the league file from the above link,
owners use the "Install League
Database" command to import the league file.
3. Home teams play their games.
4. After playing all games from a play period, (series),
home teams create a file via the
"Export Statistics" command to send the results
back to the Commissioner, their league
president, and their opponent. Use of the
league mailing list for this simplifies the
process and is highly encouraged.
5. The Commissioner uses the "Import Statistics" command
to import the results mp's to the
master league file.
6. After all results have been received and imported,
the Commissioner creates a "results"
league file via the "Export League Database"
command, uploads it to the above link for all
of the owners to download and requests change
mp's from owners that have changes for the
next series.
7. After downloading the results league file from the
above link, owners use the "Install
League Database" command to import the league
file.
8. If owners have changes for the next series, owners
use the "Export Statistics" command to
create an mp file to send to the Commissioner.
9. The Commissioner uses the "Import Statistics" command
to import the change mp's to the
master league file.
10. The file cycle then starts over with step one.
